Clean, exciting, engaging characters
My sister edits the heck out of most books so her adult daughters won't be exposed to "naughty stuff." I am buying the entire Fargo mystery series for her because it's adventurous, full of interesting cultural and geographical perspectives. Protagonists Sam & Remi Fargo have amusing, teasing interchanges without explicit sex. They have complementary skills. Each contributes to solving the puzzles of artifact hunting and foiling the evil competitors.
