A real eye opener. No wonder the students at Queen Mary University fought to get the plaque in King Leopold's honour removed from their university.
Reading this book really highlights how little of Africa's history is given prominence for mass consumption. It is a prime example of how one must read books like this to gain any understanding of history. Movies that are made on slavery are so watered down that they are almost useless... unless of course the movie inspires you to read!

Great Lens... worthwhile upgrade from the 85mm 1.8D
