Easy Carpentry Projects for Children (Dover Children's Activity Books)

It's the little things...

Great book. The size is just right and it has a lot of projects in it. I bought this for my eight year old son's birthday. He has already made a sailboat by himself under supervision and used it. He is now wanting to make more and he is learning some valuable skills. This book is for ages seven and up. I love that my boy gets to measure and cut a pattern from paper, apply it to wood, cut it with a coping saw, and drill holes with an auger. These hand tools really do the job and at the same time allow the individual to get to know the feel of the wood. I believe that this could be the foundational book for a true future woodworker.
