Good fan, flaky remote

It's all about power and privilege
This is a must-read for those wishing to pierce the veil of the western democratic order. Does it exist for the prosperity and security of the many, or is it reserved for the few who benefit through the inevitable gyrations of market economies fueled by debt and crises of overproduction?
Clara Mattei makes it abundantly clear that western economic policies are, without exception, about political decisions which seek to maintain and preserve a top-heavy power structure in which a small minority own the majority of a nation's wealth, and use their power to retain and increase it.
Unlike other texts, it's as readable as most novels, without the endless charts and tables to pore over. The author focuses on the economies of Britain and Italy, but the principles apply to any economy based on wage-labor.
