Very ambitious
Firstly, I have to say that you can never go wrong with a Jack Kirby production, so right away this book has a lot going for it. More than that , however, I think you'll find this title to be extremely ambitious and way ahead of it's time. This requires the artistic scope and grandeur of a Jack Kirby talent to expand on what is a towering achievement in movie making. A noble effort that didn't quite succeed, but this was none the less an underrated gem from the bronze age of comics. Think of the challenge of having the only recurring character be a giant non speaking slab of rock , known as the monolith for those unfamiliar with the movie. This monolith seems to be judging humanity's progress and worthiness over the course of Earth's history. Very fertile ground for examining the human condition, warts and all. And by the way... See the movie if you haven't already.

1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Basically, Mylites are the best archival materials that get mass produced in my opinion. The bags and boards are made from materials that wont damage your books through chemical processes that I don't fully understand but believe does actually happen with the cheaper products. Newsprint isn't made to last, but Mylites extend the life of comic books as well as enhances the eye appeal of the books when inside them. A lower grade book just looks better placed in the bags. You do pay for it, so I try to use these for my very best books, but I would do all of them if money wasn't a factor.
