Bought this unit to help me find a break in my dog fence, haven’t found the break yet...The radio is solidly built, and I find myself using it when doing projects around the house, and on the property. Tuning stations in is straightforward, and the sound/volume is adequate. FM Antenna is quite long. Uses 4 AA batteries, which is convenient in my book. None of that 3 size C noise. If you are looking for a good, no nonsense am/fm radio, this should be one of the contenders on your list.

This little tool takes ALL the guesswork out of setting the tension on your belt. Easily apply 10lbs of force to belt and measure how much deflection you have. No more going “by feel” for me. (Which wasn’t even close BTW) highly recommended!!
