Athearn GP7- just the ticket.
This model was a standard HO Athearn GP9, undecorated. It has been refinished in Chicago South Shore paint & Decals as per the C&O livery of the 1970's - as a GP7, to a very good standard.
It runs fine, as delivered.
I am extremely pleased to be able to add this model to my CSS roster and grateful to the Seller & Ebay UK, for my being able to do so.

Citric Acid for cleaning TIG Welds
After TIG-Welding Stainless Steel 316, I used C/Acid and water until the solution was able to remove the Scale formed on the reverse side of the Welds, where they are not shielded by Argon (from the TIG-Torch) and only had Aluminium Heat-sinks protecting them.
The C/Acid solution did a fair job of cleaning the Welds and the whole unit came-up nice & new.
I will use this method from now on,since I feel it is safer to use than place of Nitric Acid.
Downside is mixing to the correct solution.

These Pins are the best
Gaugemaster Pins are accurately made, thin but very strong and of good quality. The Flat heads appear almost flush when located position onto Sleeper Tops.
