The Kite Runner DVD
Despite being sub-titled for about half of the film I did not lose interest at all. A very moving story highlighting the problems of living in modern day Afghanistan under the Taliban. Excellent performances by the two young Afghan boys. It did justice to an outstanding book.

One of my favourite books.
This is a wonderful book. It is the first novel I have read which tells of life for the Hungarian Jew during the Second World War. Nothing else has brought home to me the awful suffering of those who lived throughout the war. Believable characters and a gripping storyline.
