Always Magnificent Irene Dunne
I was very happy with the dvd, it was exactly as advertised. I'm no movie critic, but i found it an entertaining film. I won't spoil it, but i found Helen Hudson's story tragic, yet her future optimistic. Robert "Bobby" Merrick was initially a distasteful person who redeemed himself by dedicating himself to helping others. As a fan of old movies, and Irene Dunne, i recommend it if you enjoy drama and tears and hopeful endings.

Lady Godiva of Coventry
I don’t know The True Story, but i found this compelling and interesting on its face. Of course, i possess the now-ridiculed ability to suspend my disbelief and enjoy a story, even if it’s implausible or historically inaccurate, simply to be entertained. Miss Maureen is radiant and fiery as always, willing to make a stand for her beliefs, staunch in her faith in her God and her people. It’s worth a look for a good story and to see Maureen shine.

More than a western
Fast shipping, interesting plotline. Maureen is radiant as always, Joel is a good Bill Cody. This copy was a studio release, it was well done considering the age of the film. It’s more than a western, it is a good drama, a commentary on how two people from different worlds can fall in love, find common ground, and fight for what they have together, rather than taking the easy way out. I highly recommend it.
