Expensive, BUT IT WORKS!
I originally heard about Odor Xit products on a home improvement radio show. It absolutely does what it says, my home and carpets do not smell bad anymore.
Here is my situation... I had a carpet that I had given up on from senior dogs saturating it daily for a year. I needed the flooring to last a few more months, so I steam cleaned it twice a week with store products that made a little improvement, but the combined stench of product and urine would still knock you out. I decided I needed a heavy duty product so I ordered both the Odor Xit Concentrate and this product, Odor Xit Magic. First I steam cleaned with the Concentrate letting it thoroughly soak through the carpet before extracting remaining liquid. I had to repeat the process once because the Concentrate must reach all source of odor to eliminate it.
After the floor dried I was truly surprised that it WORKED. This carpet was bad, really bad, and Odor Xit took the stink away without any chemical smell after it dried.
I then grabbed my Odir Xit MAGIC and liberally sprayed carpets, wood floors ceramic tiles, pet beds, couch,and plenty of other surfaces that could be harboring residual odor. Once it dried, my home smelled NEUTRAL, not like a perfume or those awful air sprays that make me ill. The areas I treated contained a large aquarium, house plants and furniture with no adverse effects.
I think the best approach is using both products for tough jobs like my carpet, but I highly recommend spraying Magic everywhere you have bad odors!
