Written and reviewed a USED product that was the branded product and I love it. Aprox 190 lbs and 5’4”. I like the idea of having a mat underneath it to reduce it moving all over the carpet while in use. A mat was made for the product and it would be a good complement as well as work out dvd’s to add variation. The product is very sturdy and it does support my weight of 190. Mid 50s using it to get back into my pre-pregnancy shape. Was a fit person in the past and have an L3 injury that gets aggravated when twisting. Surprise! This did not aggravate it, toned my midsection and is miraculously…working! I found one in a thrift store and it is a great product that I understand why Lori put her name behind it. I think one of the reasons why the product is very effective is because you can leave it on the floor in front of the television. It does not take up a lot of space you can jump on it and do five minutes of twisting. If you do this repeatedly it adds up. There is a bit of a learning curve because YOU have to balance on the board. When you first get on the board, it moves and you feel like hey, I need to stabilize this or I am going to fall off. When you add the twisting to this you could fall over on the carpet if you haven’t mastered balancing standing still. It is the balancing that gives the work out to the core when you twist it adds to that and it also works the legs. It feels a bit like a surfing motion. There are three sets of dots to help you place your legs in a position on the board to get a different workout. You can rock back and forth on the board similar to the “The Wave” work out board. you can flip the board over and use it as a base to do calisthenics such as push-ups. It is a very versatile workout tool that takes up a small footprint. It is not completely for a novice as you do have to get used to balancing; keeping your balance while twisting. It does provide a good energetic work out if you get it moving or just use it while you stand in front of tv. I highly rate the product because it tones the midsection. Also, kids would love this very active like surfing or doing the twist to music. A good way to get them moving.
