THE BEST DEAL ON A 50MM PRIME LENS!!!
0 von 8 finden das hilfreich you can not beat the deal for this 50mm prime lens!!! its well worth the $100 you pay for it, and the results are astounding!!! its a pretty fast lens, and even though the finish is not the best NIKON has to offer, it has less distortion then the 1.4!!! you can not beat this deal, and I highly suggest EVERYONE goes out and buys this lens for their camera bag!!! This was my first lens purchase for my NIKON F5, and I am SO HAPPY WITH IT!!! BUY IT NOW!!!

1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Well, it's a book, or rather a trilogy of books based on the popular video game about futuristic marines battling alien meanies. There aren't too many ways you can go wrong with a book. It can't break, it can't "not work," so unless it arrives shredded it's going to be a pretty good buy. If you're interested in the Halo games, the books make for facinating reading because they extend the Halo universe and introduces new characters.
Even if you're not interested in the games, but love science-fiction, the Halo trilogy may be for you. Halo is a unique story about a mysterious ring in space which poses a threat to the human race. The protagonist, Master Chief, is an über-marine known as a Spartan donning special armor and weapons. The enemy, of course, is a race of aliens called The Covenent. Actually, The Covenent is several races of aliens who love to shoot at humans using all sorts of inventive military technology.
The trilogy includes Fall of Reach, The Flood, and First Strike. The first book delves into the history of Spartan troops and the rise of Master Chief through the ranks. The Flood explores the mystery of Halo and intesifies the desperate battles that ensue. First Strike brings everything to a head while managing the not-so-easy task of taking the story to a new level. Your first thought is "Halo without the Halo thing?" In First Strike, it's the characters that carry the story more than the mystery of the Halo. Interestingly, the second book is written by William Dietz, the first and third written by Eric Nylund.

A great set of novels!!!
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich Anyone interested in the Halo games will appreciate them even more with these background stories of the Master Chief and the Halo Universe. I am even more geared up for the 4th novel and Halo 3 after reading these. The two novels by Nylund are expertly written and provide details that you would never know otherwise. The novel by Dietz takes on a very different style and has more battle descriptions than dialogue so it's not as fun a read but it still reinvents the first Halo game with deeper details. Again, anyone interested in the game will fall right into these novels as they connect perfectly with the series and the graphic novel. Great read!!!
