Eyepiece not suitable for viewing with glasses on
0 von 1 finden das hilfreich Many users will find this telescope excellent for their purpose, but I like to view wearing my glasses, and the eyepiece does not make this possible. At 20x magnification it is just possible to see the full field of view, but at higher magnification the field of view widens a lot and can only be seen with the eye right up to the eyepiece.
There are two reasons to prefer viewing with glasses on. Firstly, if, like me, you have correcting lenses for astigmatism, you will not be able to focus a clear image without glasses on. Secondly, it is easier to show others, especially children, things without them having to refocus if you have focused for normal vision.

THE ONE to get on Emily - a different approach
I managed to get a good copy of this on e-bay for a few pounds having seen it referenced in other biographies, and I'm glad I did, because it is in my opinion the best and the most unusual book about Emily, the greatly misunderstood Bronte sister. Most Bronte biographers are women, and many are Christians, which I think blinkers them to the reality of what was going on with Emily, who rejected not only the hypocrisy of her father's belief system, as sister Charlotte did, but religion itself - all religions, as not fitting the reality of the world she saw, full of pain and suffering and deceit.
Dingle was a scientist who unusually took on the challenge of writing about Emily, and he immediately trashes most of the conventional ideas about her, telling us that to understand her mind it is necessary to look at the evidence in a scientific manner, not imbue her with imaginary attributes. He tells us how her sister Charlotte got it wrong when she described Emily as rustic and unrefined; having the audacity to edit her poems, often changing the meaning, and to add an apologetic introduction to Emily's only novel, 'Wuthering Heights'.
Our best primary source for Emily is her poems, and Dingle does a wonderful job of analysing them. This is THE book to have, in my opinion, yet it's out of print!
