Looked a bit too small initially, but I found the hinged lids pulled out offering access to the interior storage. Used to hold small electronic components. Overall, pleased with the product

Not exclusive enough in ambient light
These LED / Photo transistors may respond to IR but they are also responding to ambient light. For applications that require response exclusively to IR you may need to look else =where. I found an IR pair that uses a 'black light' filter tht does this much better.
