The camera itself is pretty good
The main problem is finding mini DVDs no retail stores carry them anymore. Oh so the ones that take the tapes have much warmer colors and a bit better quality. The problem with the ones that take tapes if you can't get them onto your computer. So you must sacrifice quality to make it easier to transfer.

Good combination unit
The Mel meter is a good piece of ghost hunting equipment. However if you already own an EMF meter and a thermometer. It is really not necessary. If you do not own those two pieces of equipment it is the perfect device for you.
