Insightful
Rachel Cusk articulates those difficult-to-pin-down feelings we all have from time to time (but couldn't even begin to put in to words ourselves) in a way no other book I have read comes close to managing. It requires a very special intelligence to do this, such that the absence of a traditional plot is of little consequence.

No brainer
Bought as an e-reader-plus for another family member: cheaper than a Kindle and added functionality if needed. Not used it for any length of time to judge battery life, but not that critical for the intended use anyway. Have the Nexus7 2013 version as my tablet and very happy, so confident it should deliver what I need it for.
