Fix a weak Dell product
I bought a Dell AIO product at a very low cost and found that while I could use it for many tasks, it quickly ran out of memory. I could not upgrade it by adding a larger disk drive and more memory. When I complained to Dell management that the product could not be upgraded even though the downloadable service manual had explicit instructions on such upgrades, the insides of the computer did not support what the manual showed, I was told by a Dell manager (from India) that the particular model was not designed to be upgraded. ("To bad, so sad.") I fired up Google and did a single search which found an acceptable upgrade capability from Crucial Technologies enabled by the availability of this item.

A good value and it does everything you want.
I am a computer service tech. Most of my clients are retired people living in a retirement community. I write a technology column in the daily newspaper for this community. People often buy new computers but don't buy a lot of new, leading edge software to use writing emails to the kids and grandkids. Some of them even create spreadsheets and use smartphones. However, there aren't too many that want to go beyond that. When they get a new computer they ask me what they should do for a word processor and email program. I usually recommend buying Office Basic from eBay for about $25-30..
Office 2007 completed a round of upgrades from Microsoft. They haven't added much since in later editions that are must-haves for my clientele. So why pay $300 for the latest version when $25 will buy all the basics you need.
