Product was packed well. I tried to install this set with the glass still on the car and completely failed. Ruined both front windows films, gave up and removed the window glass for the rears. I guess older cars have enough gunk around the window frame that the film won t stick well. I also couldn t shrink the film well with the glass still in the door frame, fingers kept reappearing long after the film looked severely marked up. Removing the rear glass worked fine, however. No rainbow effect, seems consistent. The normal method of installation is definitely not for beginners.

The film came packaged very well and the included instructions were useful. I used an xacto knife to remove the excess film, starting with slits outward at the corners. For the side windows, I removed the windows from the car, cleaned them with super fine steel wool, dish soap, and vinegar (for water spots). I applied the tint indoors during evening hours, that part was as easy as it gets. A normal heat gun shrinks the film well. The film tolerates a moderate amount of working with heat and with squeegee on application. Once mistakes appear (creases, scuffs from squeegee), you should avoid working the film further, the mistakes don t seem to be recoverable. The rear quarter window fit is very tight and the glass sits off-center in its molding; it may be a good idea to mark with a thin marker the edges before removing the window. I left water bubbles under the front window tint, they all disappeared after a week in the sun. The rear windshield was very difficult: I removed the rear seats, headliner, third brake light, rear speakers, rear pillar molding, and roof trim; the fit is very tight, overlapping with the edge frits just enough. I applied the rear tint outside with moderate wind at dusk; doing this in a well lit garage would have been easier. The tint looks great, doesn t have rainbow streaks, and my mistakes are fairly minor. If it still looks this good in 4 years, I ll be very happy. This was a good film for a careful first timer.

Item shipped quickly and was packaged well, is of acceptable quality for the price. The front visors don t follow the curve of the front doors well. I was able to apply them to the door, but the curve not matching well means the window glass can be rolled down only a little before getting below the visor. The visors for the rear doors fit well, but the design of the door glass is such that a gap forms on the rearmost side almost immediately. This makes opening a small window gap under the visor finicky, but possible. So far the visors have not come off at freeway speeds, so the adhesive is good. Wind noise did increase noticeably and can be heard with the windows closed. This may be due to unfortunate front door design, though. Overall an acceptable product for the price, but expectations must be tempered appropriately.
