Going back to basics!
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I work as a professional photographer and after using digital slr's over the past few years I found that I was becoming lazy and depending too much on the camera, don't get me wrong there is nothing worng with digital slr's.
After a lot of searching I found that the newest 35mm slr out there was the Vivitar V3800N so decided to give it a try first impressions were that the camera is solid a good weight and not cheap in feel, the layout is as I wanted basic no lcd - film and shutter speeds on one dial and a solid feeling wind on handle.
The cameras lightmeter is powered by 2 LR44 or SR44 batteries but be careful the battery holder is a little flimsy and need careful handling. but saying that the batteries should last a long while s they are only powering the meter.
Initial use of the camera will give a little suprise because once you press the shutter it gives a slight kick back yes its just like the old cameras we used to know.
I used a Kentmere 400 B&W film for the first test and found that it was a little tight to wind on, at first I thought it was the camera but after running a couple of Agfa and Fulifilm films through it was fine so most likely the Ketmere film I had had been orignally loaded too tight by the makers.
The lens is supplied is a 50mm and very bright and responsive and give a sharp clean image and also makes you thing about composure of the subject - yes you and the camera have got to move to get it right - no zooming in and out with this lens.
Depth of field preview and multi - exposure are also available on the camera and work well.
Overall you should be able to pick this camera up new in some places for around £65.00 and it comes with a flash and case, in my view it is a great piece of kit that every photographer should have Vivitar were once one of the market leader in photo equipment sadly their digital cameras have let them down over the years but don't let this put you off this camera.
Tip: When not in use put a silica bag in the film compartment to stop any mould forming and control moisture.
