Loved this book twice through from beginning to end.
I first read the book fifty odd years ago. It left a lasting impact on me to the point where over the years I promised myself to read it again. Since I recently retired I decided to read it once again hoping that it would have the same effect. It did and more so. Michener can weave together a story like no other. He has a rare quality of taking a subject that you may hesitate to read and have you walk away with a whole new appreciation for it. I cannot recommend this book enough!

Packed with knowledge in a beatuiful presentation.
Normally I would not post a review of a book this small (150 pages). However this book contains a wonderful history of computing along with useful information on coding in general. Coupled with the fact that are amazing illustrations pertaining to each chapter of the book. For me it is just a pleasure to pick up and browse through over and over again.
Having a background in printing and information technology I would like to offer my congratulations to all those involved in producing this excellent work.
