too complicated for the average person
Parts fascinating and parts too advanced in the science of geology to be understood for the average person. This book could be useful for the geology student and their 3rd or 4th year of study. Absolutely not for the average person!

planking model boat hullls
This is not a book for the modeler beginning to plank model boats. Although the glossary would be good for the beginner, better glossaries are now available on the web. E.g. my present model from Model Shipways have the terms hanging knees, jeer, hance and others not in this glossary.
This is a book for the modeler who has already had some experience planking hulls.
Instead of this book I would recommend a "planking hull" practicum for beginners.
