6 year old Nephew likes it for his rock collection.

Purchased for my Nephew to see if any of his rocks phoresce. Nice and bright. Fun to shine around the house to see what glows.

iPhone 3 no longer works with most apps: Go Android instead

The iPhone is fine, it's Apple who has made the apps impossible on this phone. You can't even get the Facebook app for this phone anymore; it requires a higher OS than this phone can take. The music works on it, and it makes a good alarm clock, but I want apps. You can't do squat with these phones anymore except dial, answer and text. Forget apps, only the old ones with low requirements and poor graphics will work (and they are no-namers for the most part). Forget Facebook, Angry Birds, etc. I think Apple is pushing us to only use the latest greatest, but I realize that its not their goal to make their products affordable/accessible to everyone. What a shame, my Son had one of these on prepaid ATT last year and the apps worked. Now, it's a pretty paperweight. People are ditching them in droves in our local classifieds. Go Android.
