Good motorcycle reading

This book it roughly divided into three parts, the Triumph years, the Norton years and the BMW years. The author tells many interesting stories about his rides and the people that he encountered whilst attempting to sell specially developed machines to police forces both here in the UK and abroad. The book also covers the inside workings and failings of British management and the ultimate destruction of the British motorcycle industry.

Rolls-Royce Piston Aero Engines - a designer remembers

Technical

This publication is very detailed and probably more suitable for the engineering inclined. If you like engine details and you are interested in Rolls Royce's V12 engineering development and how problems were solved then you may well love this book. Personally as an ex-engineer who understands flying I found it very interesting. My only real criticism is that the technical drawings are a bit too small to see the details, I guess through lack of space. Finally, this is a Rolls Royce Heritage Trust publication and they have many more interesting books (that are easier to read) along similar lines so check them out.
