A Curious History of Math
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I have approximately 950 books on mathematics, and I was very, very pleased to add this title to the library! It is an amazing, eclectic mix of mathematical vignettes that relate some of the back story of several different discoveries on math. I am very well read on this topic but there were tidbits here I had never heard before. If you are the least bit interested in math, especially the historical perspectives of mathematics discovery and invention, you owe it to yourself to check out this title! 2 thumbs up! 5 stars!

Indespensible reference for the serious student of The Holy Bible.
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich From Twistedpair's review...."One complaint: Digital versions of Strong's Dictionary distinguish between Greek and Hebrew numbers by prefacing each number with either a G or and H. This book does not do that. I found myself searching for a number in the Hebrew section when I was looking for Greek."
IN FACT, as the book explains, if the English word and Strong's number are normal text they refer to the Hebrew/Aramaic dictionary. If the English word and Strong' number are italicized, they refer to the Greek dictionary. Not as intuitive as the G and H prefix, but easy enough to work through your Bible study. Great review twistedpair, and a MOST EXCELLENT work on this invaluable refernce work.
