Accurately portrays the theme of the book.
Although the theme of the book revolves around two competing hockey teams in the same area,
it is so much more than this. The characters are very well fleshed out snd you find yourself caring for some and despising others. You feel as if you know them. The author has a unique style and is very philosophical about human nature. He frequently hints about events that will occur in the future, without giving them away.
