It works
It's a piece of plastic that contains a gel. Check list:
- hasn't leaked in the 4 days I've had it. CHECK
- gel freezes when left in freezer 24 hours. CHECK
- slowly defrosts in cooler keeping contents cool for a while. CHECK
- refreezes when put in freezer again for 24 hours. CHECK
- didn't rupture when dropped on floor. CHECK
- keeps its shape when frozen. NOPE; bulges due to not enough expansion room inside.
This product met all my expectations for at least 4 days. Given that, I have no idea how long it will continue to meet them. For all I know, tomorrow, after this review is posted and unchangeable, it could be a freakin' disaster of a product. So, for at least 4 days, its good.

Very nice watch

Youtube videos do a better job helping with setup than the manual.
