The shadows aren’t always representative of that which created them.
As the last (5th) book so far in this series it continued the series of mysteries confronted by the English detective in India and his Indian sergeant. It was a story that kept the reader uncertain of the outcome and who was guilty of the murder.

The war brought out the splendid character of English folks during a most unpleasant time.
A very detailed examination of England during WW II and the way Churchill operated and how he worked with those around him….both family and colleagues. How the bombing impacted the population and Churchill’s efforts to bring FDR and America to support the war effort….both directly and indirectly. It included many of Churchill’s unusual habits and idiosyncrasies. A worthwhile read.
