Sharp, inexpensive, light, compact, but mostly auto
3 von 3 finden das hilfreich Nice P+S film camera, very compact and light, amazingly sharp lens for the price, but could use a few more manual over-rides for my taste. SPOT METERING with exposure and focus LOCK do help in this regard though. All the same, the camera is heavily shutter speed biased, and the spot meter (or fast film) is really the only way to get around that fact. But the compactness, weather-resistance, light weight, and lens quality make up for the lack of manual control. Oh, yes,it's a fixed focal length too, so there's no flexibility there either, but that does make it lighter, smaller, cheaper, and sharper! Other advantages/disadvantages: built-in flash can be very convenient, especially for fill or forced flash, but you may have to remember to turn the flash OFF when you don't want it, because otherwise it's reset to ON every time the lens cover is closed then re-opened again, there's no way for it to "remember" a "flash-off" setting over an off/on again sequence. and again, this camera is MUCH cheaper than a Yashica T4, which has very similar features, and I'd bet the Olympus lens is about as sharp as the Zeiss (I own a Yashica T3 with a Zeiss Tessar T* lens too). True, the Yashica has some exposure compensation, a waist-level finder )which is fun), and a Zeiss lens, but the Olympus is about 1/2 to 1/4 the price!

VERY handy camera!
Great little camera with a wide-angle-to-long zoom range; it would be even nicer if it went to 80 or 90 mm, but that would sacrifice compactness and optical/mechanical simplicity, so it's really a great range as is. Some useful preset exposure modes, especially the Night Scene mode, providing fill flash, and the macro/closeup mode, which allows closer than normal focus for this type of camera. I do wish it had a spot metering option and some exposure compensation, but the focus lock seems to also lock the metering down, so that makes up for the lack of exposure compensation a bit anyway. As the other reviewer wrote, there is some distortion at the wide end of this lens' focal range, so be careful shooting buildings at the widest part of the zoom range. I should also mention that this lens is relatively fast (f 3.5 at 28mm) for a point-and-shoot zoom, another pleasant surprise.
The lens is contrasty and sharp, the camera is small and very convenient-you can make some good photos with it!

Good value and a great tool.
Nicer phone than many reviews suggest, and not expensive, a good deal generally and a good product, a very useful smartphone with a decent camera, fast internet/web results, good call and sound quality.
