Splenda Recipe Cookbook
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I purchased this great cookbook because my husband was diagnosed as pre-diabetic. We were both pleasantly surprised with the selection of recipes, including delicious desserts, which he has enjoyed testing.
I highly recommend this to anyone who is trying to avoid sugar.

Super warm cargo sweats
Husband loves these warm sweats, especially the cargo pockets. Polyester fabric washes and dries quickly. Bought two of the three colors and hope to find the third. Great product.

Rev John Scott - a hero for civil rights in north Louisiana.
I purchased this book when I came upon it after googling for information about East Carroll Parish, Lake Providence and Transylvania, LA.
The book is initially an enjoyable read about the story of Rev. Scott's grandfather and how the family ended up settling in NE Louisiana. It becomes even more interesting as the chapters progress, detailing how difficult - and unfair - life was for blacks who once were respected and valued residents with an established community (church, school, etc.). The basic storyline is about how hard Rev. Scott fought for things we now take granted like the right to register for the vote.
I believe this book to be a valuable resource for anyone studying civil rights in Louisiana. The chapter about the unjust relocation/displacement of sharecroppers by the WPAs Farm Security Administration still haunts me.
I feel this book is an accurate account of the hardships of law-abiding Christian blacks in north Louisiana. It was written as a tribute to Rev Scott's life and his accomplishments.
If you're interested in civil rights in the Mississippi Delta south, I recommend this book to you.
