I love Steve Erquiaga's acoustic guitar, but...
My introduction to Steve Erquiaga's guitar playing was on various Windham Hill recording on which he was playing acoustic guitar. I was somewhat disappointed upon playing 'Erkiology' because it's rather fast-paced electric jazz guitar. I received 'Paradiso Cafe' later and loved it; it's acoustic, if not actually classical guitar. I respect that the man is multi-faceted and has multiple approaches to music but I'd much rather have the acoustic work. You, however, may absolutely love this CD. I wish he would record more albums.

Entertaining and Informative
I'm really enjoying this book. I'm only about an eighth of the way into the book but it's very compelling. Judy is a good writer and a natural storyteller. I only wish that I could find the other two books that she's written, a cookbook and a book about Mexican Fiestas. I've travelled to Mexico twice before and, at 62, I'm seriously considering moving to Mexico. She lived in Mexico for 20 plus years at the time she wrote this and she clearly loves the country and the region and has lots of information to share. But, more importantly, I feel that she's sharing her heart... her love and passion for Mexico and Chapala.

A very grounded approach to coping with chronic illness and pain... from a Buddhist perspective.
I've studied and practiced Buddhism over the years for periods of time,
I was pleased when a friend recommended this book, which he read after
a stroke. I've been struggling with intense daily pain this past year and a half
after a series of mishaps, falls, and an assault. I was hungry for something to
help me cope with the depression, despair, and exhaustion that has set in
during this time. This book is very readable and, though typically a slow, reader
I quickly moved through the chapters. Quite likely, it's a book I'll return to time
and time again as well as recommend it to my own yoga students and psychotherapy
clients.
