The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands
10 von 10 finden das hilfreich I picked this book as a book club book and I really, really enjoyed it. I read it aloud with my husband a few times, and now he jokes that it is his new favorite book. Dr. Laura talks really frankly, and slightly harshly, to women about how to be better wives. The thing is, as you read it, you know that if you take Dr. Laura's advice, you will indeed have a much happier marriage. This book gave me a feeling of great empowerment because it reminded me of the power I have to make my marriage wonderful. It also reminded me that if I just do a few simple things for my husband on a regular basis, he will do whatever he can to keep me happy as well.
I really appreciated that Dr. Laura had the courage to say many things that are totally taboo in today's society. I believe that people, and women specifically, are constantly being fed lies by the media and by Hollywood about what makes a woman happy and what makes a marriage work. Dr. Laura was courageous enough to emphasize that any woman's primary and most important role is as a wife and a mother.

Little Giants
I wanted to buy this movie for my two-year old son who loves to play football. I thought he would really like this movie because it is about little boys playing football. He did like it, but not as much as I was hoping. He likes The Sand Lot ( a movie about boys playing baseball) more. It has a much more original and enjoyable story line
