Beautiful Guide
Wonderful full color guide book to Oxford's venerable Bodleian library. Great images beautifully reproduced with instructive and enlightening text.

Excellent Pastiche
I enjoy Sherlock Holmes before Watson stories, but only if they rise to a certain standard. The Tarleton Murders not only met my expectations, but exceeded them.
Very well written and researched. The characterization of Holmes was, to me, spot on. Supporting characters were well drawn and interesting on their own. Real life figures were incorporated into the plot without the usual "preciousness" of the less talented pastiche writer.
Great plot, which moved along nicely to a cracking ending. Highly recommend the novel.

Solid Holmes Pastiche
John Hall writes some of the best Sherlock Holmes pastche, and The Disgraced Inspector does not dissapoint.
Holmes aids old friend Lestrade to clear a case from the past which has the power to destroy the Inspector's future as well as his reputation. Well written, involving, with great characterization.
