The End of America by Naomi Wolf
what did i like about this book? it addressed problems that we have as our government changes to a Fascist government run by big business. it lets us commoners in on what is actually happening. you read it then look around you, you will see exactly what she wrote happening. i think she is a new version of Ayn Rand as far as being able to see truth through lies of propaganda that we are buried with daily. i think everyone should read this book. get informed. and realize they are trying to grab a lot more then your junk. a lot more.

Humanure the way to go.
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich greetings. why did i buy this book? because i had a copy of it that i got some years ago. and then misplaced. with the way things are going now i decided to cut down on the energy hogs in the house. and the toilet is right up there since we have a well for our water supply and it is very expensive to pump water up 200 feet so one can use it to flush the toilet. have my first one built from the plans included in the book and plan to make several more. compared to commercial composing toilets these are better and require no electricity or expensive chemicals. and it turns a waste product into a valuable compost for fertilizer. would recommend it to anyone interested in the ecology of the planet and economics.

Detroit, what is left of it. the great fallen never to rise again. a lesson
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich greetings. old Detroiter here. born in the inside suburb of Hamtramck of 1942. in this movie I have seen many things I remember about old Detroit from my early years. when it was vibrant and alive, and so were the people. This movie brought many memories back to me as well as sadness of the evil that has come on it now. is sad to see ayn Rands Atlas shrugged proved true with the death of the city and its people. victims of greed and power in the hands of people who's only qualification was money and race. Sad. but a good thing to show to my grand children of what sort of place Detroit once was and what it is now. maybe they will not make the same mistakes my generation did that allowed modern day Detroit to be born and die. this movie is money well spent if only as a warning of what not to do when it is the children's turn to shape history of other cities.
