A picture is worth a kilo word!
The teachers at our Christian School were assigned donated laptops. From preschooler to 8th grade. Needles to say, most were reluctant to mouse around. This style of book is an invaluable aid for teachers to get acquainted with XP.
I bought several of this type and put them in the teachers lounge to use.
Yes, a picture is worth a thousand (kilo) words.

Brush up on what you forgot!
As a retired senior citizen, I have an interest in telling and showing middle and high school students a vocation that would be very rewarding in the IT field. I would loan out the books and let them see the info they will have to study.
I volunteer to teach a computer lab in a small christian school and maintain the computers and network. I can give them the hands on experience in our computer shop.
Although the books I buy on e-bay maybe a generation older, the cost to me is just right.
I instructed for 15 yrs in a local community college and 6yrs in Navy Electronic schools.
(I enjoy reading the material. You are never to old to review and/or broaden your knowledge base.)

Using PS7 to learn PS2
Backtracking from 7 to 2 really isn't that hard. Also using its methods to learn GIMP.
Good book overall.
