superb tool!
the authors did not dumb down their presentation...the examples and the exercises are very challenging.

great price value combination!
excellent set of binoculars for the money...field of view is not great but images, for a 12x set of binoculars, are stable, sharp, and contrasty...once the eyepieces are set for each eye of an individual user (from 20 yards and beyond), images are always in focus...not suitable for viewing images under 20 yards...from 20 yards and beyond, this set of binoculars with its long reach will provide views with superb depth of field...in terms of build quality, this set set appears and feels as tough as any and tougher than most...for a 12x40 set of binoculars, this steiner model is light and can be easily hand held(even for astronomical use).

this series is too short!
In all areas i care about(plot, dialogue/script, acting, tension, audio/video quality), this series is superb. i can't remember a more delightful viewing experience. i enjoyed it so much that when it ended i felt sad and i remarked to my spouse that this series is too short.
