Necessary Happy Memories... Now for Me
I pretty much "grew up" with Russell Baker, and since his death, I've felt particularly sad, because he and my father corresponded a great deal. Alas, when my parents moved from New Jersey to Arizona, my mother (who always threw away things of mine, too) decided to throw away thousands and thousands of news articles, etc. So gone are all the letters (on The New York Times lettterhead, with Russell Baker's "SUB-letterhead") Daddy and Mr. Baker shared. I just HAD to grab a copy of this important book after learning of his death. I know that, were my father still alive, he'd have surely shed some tears over his friend's passing.

Better Than the Photo!! Beautiful!!
Well, I'd originally purchased only one. This time 'round, I bought four more. I'm not going to give out specifics but I'm going to work on a very personal art project -- just for myself -- and so when I have a bit more money (living on a fixed income), I'm undoubtedly ordering some more of these. Here;s why...
They are perfect! I never expected that! I truly figured there'd be something unlikable about them -- maybe they really wouldn't be glass, or they wouldn't really, REALLY act as prisms, or who knows what else could be wrong with them? Instead... they are absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!!! They are a great size, too, and I keep looking at the five I have here, by my side at my desk, eager to start on my project, but also really NERVOUS to. I have to do my very BEST, because these prisms are remarkable, and deserve to be seen and appreciated by any and all of my friends who come visit me in my little townhouse.
I mean every single word I just wrote! Thank you for selling these!

A Behind-the-Scenes Music Great
Geoff Emerick was one of those Ultimates, and this book proves his cleverness. Anyone in the music business -- the creative end of it, at least -- shall surely appreciate his writing.
May he now be revered far more than he ever was during his lifetime.
