Awesome drum method.
This drum method is the best ever written for beginning snare drumming. I have used book one and two for over fifty years. It covers all the bases except for the fact it teaches the traditional grip instead of my favorite, the matched grip.

The Best Beginning Snare Drum Method Book
This is the best beginning snare drum ever written. Haskell Harr was very thorough in writing this. The examples are well thought out and explained.

Great beginning improvisation book.
This book uses the old standards to teach improvisation. It uses samples of improv along with a recorded piano background. Chords are shown to help the player understand the progressions and make up their own solos.
