The super Mario of all e-readers (Oasis might be Toad)
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I never liked to read for what some would call "pleasure", but I've always loved technology. So package 1,000,000+ books in a device about the span of my hand (diagonally) and I became a new person.
The Kindle store has a massive selection on a variety of genres, that I've come to appreciate. I've even managed to fine books in Chinese, my present language target, for practice. I'd love to be able to read certain Manga, but I need an account for the Japanese store. (don't even think they have Chi's Sweet Home for Kindle).... Anywho.
Like I said I've only just learned to love reading and so I've been pouring myself over the Voyage, that means battery power is very important to me. I haven't had time to leave it idle so I can only tell you from a previous experience they sit there alive for more than 2 weeks (tried) and will still have at least half battery.
But I use this thing every day for at least 6hrs per day, and Ive charged it twice in the span of 3 almost 4 weeks. Just awesome!
The display is pretty decent. GLARE BEGONE!! I never get eyestrain and with adjustable font, boldness, and size my want for the possessing the power of variety keeps me at ease. (also background color for android devices, but then phones will give you eyestrain).
There are lots of nice features as well. X-ray, in case you forget who a character is, will give you the lowdown. Page flip, which is a way to put your digital finger on a page and save it while you flip through the pages and then go back to where you left off. Searching within a book. Also theres ;ReadingTimwReset.... Type it just like that to make your Voyage relearn your reading speed, as getting distracted may cause you to stay on a page longer...... And..... Goodreads integration....... I feel that's all I have to say on that matter. Just awesome.
Sits in my hand pretty great. I'm female so my hands are very big. 8" from wrist to tip of middle finger length, and about the same width from widened palm thumb to pinky finger. But then the awesome igadgitz case makes it easier. Pics included.
I chose the Voyage over the Oasis and Paperwhite for these reasons:
1. Adaptive brightness
2. Most cost efficient(Features worth the price)
3. Glass screen
4. Haptic feed back buttons flush with the screen
5. This one came with an awesome case
6. Did I mention the price? The Oasis was ridiculous
7. Did I mention the features? Paperwhite had less
