1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I was expecting great things from this product from previous reviews but am disappointed it falls short. On the plus side the headphones are relatively cheap and light and the tangle-free wire is good. But you often have to pull apart the wires and scrutinise the minute writing on the plugs to find R and L. Yes, different ear-plugs are provided but I have found none of them - even the smallest, which I have adopted - fit comfortably within the ear. There is always that feeling they have not properly inserted despite the most careful pushing in and will come out. Trying to fix some of the alternative plugs on was also a nightmare. I have noticed no marked improvement in sound quality compared with my previous less expensive headphones, though it is no worse. The volume control on the wire seems pretty irrelevant - it veers between loud and soft with few gradations in between, so I still use my device controls. But my biggest complaint is the lack of comfort. Perhaps there are no comfortable in-ear headphones, at least none that fit my ears - but I doubt I'm alone.

Difficult bird to catch
Compelling in parts, where indeed it did become a page turner (I finished it in a week), but the novel seemed to me to lose direction at various places. While I could see how the themes and contrasting depictions of them over time were intended to reflect each other and intertwine, I feel they failed to cohere convincingly. The points could also have been conveyed without the need for gratuitous violence at some points. A fine writer but overall this book was not wholly successful for me. Therefore 4*.
