Simple pH-meter with integrated probe

Simple pH-meter that can be used as benchtop or as field instrument. The probe as combination of pH-sensitive electrode, reference electrode and atc-thermometer reduces the quantity of cables that are sometimes anoying in other configurations. The used item had the display of some segments a bit faint making it difficult to read. Anyhow this seems attrubuable to the age and not to the model.

Not for other devices

The temperature probe arrived at time for a reasonable price. It is equiped with a mini-jack connector that fits mecanically to several pH and multimeters. Unfortunately it seems to use a non-standard thermocouple as temperature readings at least on accumet -meters do not show the right temperature. Thus it is probably a very good probe on the meters it was designed for but does not serve on other devices..

First contact with the VWR SB90M5

The meter did come without current adaptor - it did not matter much as unlike other benchtop equipments in the lower part it has a battery compartment and can be used even for measurements in the field. pH and ion selective electrodes with BNC adapter can be used without any problem. More difficult is it to find ATC-probes as the plug is not the standard jack but a proper 8 -pin solution. Conductivity probes have have the specific plug, too. I am still struggeling wit this issue as they are not very common in the market. Once I have got them I will try to update the text with some practical laboratory experience.
