Stylish, Durable, Comfortable
This blue-dial Citizen became an instant favorite. It’s all-stainless steel, waterproof to 10 atmospheres, solar-powered and light on the wrist. Although its construction is solid, with a threaded case back, it’s only 40 mm and thus light, unlike so many 44 mm watches that resemble steam valves on the Lusitania. The lume keeps up all night. I’m happy with this watch, and if anything happens to it, I’ll buy another the same day.

A fine version of a classic
Approach The Secret Garden only with a sense of awe. Touch it gently; the story is encapsulated in the untended vines and bushes in the garden, which respond to the gardener's care. This book is competently and beautifully printed and bound. Neither garish nor plain, it shows a shaping of materials into tasteful elegance. I bought it for a friend, to whom I sometimes read chapters. And re-read. I highly recommend this edition for its finished beauty and its value.

Functionally sound, poor finish
The pipe draws smoothly and has no technical issues. The finish, however, is incomplete in places, and the final coat of lacquer or varnish pooled at the bottom and crinkled as it dried.
