GE F15T8/BLB New Old Stock MADE IN USA!
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich This review is for the NOS GE fluorescent bulbs that were made in the USA. This is also a comparison to Chinese made bulbs that came with a GE black light fixture that I bought a few years ago.
I absolutely love black lights! I get really nostalgic when I see them as they remind me of 1980's arcades that I used to go into as a child. I keep a few of them running in the house today, they make excellent night lights and I also have one over my workstation for late night gaming fun. Recently one of my black lights decided it was time to go to the fluorescent pearly gates in the sky so I went looking for a replacement. Easier said than done, these bulbs have gotten really hard to find! Much of what you find today are bulbs made by Chinese companies, which often have questionable or even lacking quality control. Not wanting to take a risk on potentially getting a dud, this brought me to eBay to see about finding something better. Luck was definitely on my side.
Upon removing the bulb from it's protective sleeve, I could immediately see the differences between the my burnt out Chinese made bulb and this American made one that I am replacing it with. The end caps on the American made one are shorter, which makes the glass of the tube longer. The American made bulb also has polished (chrome?) end caps where the Chinese made one has dull aluminum ones. You can see this in the attached photo, the one on top is the Chinese made bulb, the one next to the carton is the USA made one.
This might just be my bias but I honestly think the American made bulb gives off a better quality of light than another 2 Chinese ones that I have that are still working. The surface of the American made bulb when illuminated looks brighter too.
I am definitely giving these old bulbs two thumbs up! GE, if you manage to read this, please fire up those old factories here in the US where you made these bulbs and start making them again!

American made GE F40T12/BLB, they definitely don't make them like this anymore.
This review is for the GE F40T12/BLB fluorescent lights that were once made in the USA.
High quality fluorescent tubes. The endcaps look like a polished chrome and are much shorter than the dull aluminum ones found on Chinese made bulbs.
The quality of black light that is emitted from these bulbs is spectacular and very bright. Two of these are more than enough to illuminate a medium sized room.
