    (2) 3N1 Blades for 42" 095100E701 095100E701MA 95100 NEW
    23. Mai 2018
    Caution- thick and thin.
I am replacing really thick shark/gator back blades with these 3-in one mulching blades. The blades i had only cut and threw grass leaving heavy clumps of long clippings. Also being thicker they are very hard to bend or break, like when i hit the edge of a sidewalk they transferred all the force to my deck spindle and pulley. And before i knew it my deck belt ($24), pulley ($16), and my spindle ($40), all where destroyed. I had to order blades but the deck parts where in stock, so I sharpened my old thick chipped blades and they where still straight! No bends. I finished mowing for the day ($80 later). THE NEW BLADES - 3-in-1 mulching: Possibly the thinnest blades i have ever seen. Thinner than the original mulch blades that came on my old Murray riding mower. I am concerned about how long they will last, however they cut great and leave fine chopped clippings. Being thinner they will bend easily, chip easier. So i will be cautious on yard debris and sidewalks! Id like to have seen them a 1/16” or even 1/32” thicker but oh well. If next time i hit something big, it will only cost me $25 to replace the blades and not $80+ on deck repairs. Thicker stronger blades are tougher, but they transfer that toughness to your other mowing parts. And the flat ones i had left long clumpy clippings. I think these blades are a little too thin. But made by a good company, Oregon. We’ll see. I am happy with the cut as of now.
