Pair-A-Dice, but adults ONLY!
I bought this book with the intentions of adding it to my other French Kitty books, which I read to my daughter. Well, although this book is adorable, the subject matter really isn't for children. In the first few pages, French Kitty starts gambling, and loses her cash to a villainous magician, and I feel that whilst the moral of the story is good, I don't really want to broach the subject of gambling to a 4 year old!
I suppose I should have read the description of the book more accurately instead of just buying it because it was a French Kitty book. Better choices would be French Kitty goes to Paris (about shopping for a hat, and French phrases can be learned) or Oui Oui Waikiki (about attending a wedding--a gay wedding, but I think only adults would realize that--in Hawaii, with Hawaiian phrases).
I am definitely not a prudish person, I will let my daughter have this book when she is a tween!
