Nothing wrong with the belt, but the wrong size was supplied.
Inpractice that is a lot of inconvenience.
In my case I spent 4 hours hanging around in the local town in cafes and at the library only to be told by the garage sorry we couldn t fit it
Happens all the time, but is a good argument for buying some items locally.

New Old Stock Treasure
A long night's trawl through listings and forums led me to buy these springs in the hope that they would suit the Wolseley front drums I was assembling from a box of bits. They arrived and although they were made made for a different car work just fine. They were well priced and arrived in an attractive period box. An on foot search of autojumbles might have taken years!

Great engine, great book!
For those who have loved these engines since their first time on the road this is a great reminder of all the now seldom seen cars that depended on this legendary power unit. Reminds me of a trip to the local engineer's thirty years ago to get an aluminium cylinder head skimmed only to be told "No we don't work on them, because they're no good". Perhaps we should have all heeded this advice...
