A new twist on attempts to discredit the teachings of Jesus in the Gospels
If you are looking for a Jewish perspective on the teachings of Christ this is not it. Spong has decided that there is virtually no truth to what our gospels contain. He speculates that the Jesus story resulted from "midrashic" attempts by "the early Church" to bring Old Testament material into the story of Jesus; and that none of the teachings of Jesus actually came from him.
Another book that attempts to discredit the teachings of the Gospels, but with a new (now old) twist.
