Motorcycle complete seat Yamaha YR5 DS7

Does the job

The seat fits my 1972 YDS7 well. The fixings for the hinges, latch and stay all line up correctly. The only problem is the side of the seat catches on the frame rails when it is opened. I thought that the padding felt rather firm when I compared it with the old seat, but it turned out to be very comfortable when I took the bike out for a run. The base is made from GRP but the finish on it makes it look like steel, and I don't have to worry about rust or the battery shorting on it.

Quiet doors

Bought these to to stick onto cupboard and internal room doors. The original pads had fallen off the cupboard doors and these worked as a like for like replacement. A new internal door had been fitted with too much free movement in the latch and it made an annoying banging noise whenever there was a draft. One of these pads fixed the problem quickly and easily.

Could have been so much better

If you want to hear the Stones sounding good in 1969 get a copy of 'Get Yer Ya Yas Out'. The recordings for the live album must have been heavily edited to make them sound so good compared with the performances on this DVD. If you want to know about the Altamont free concert tragedy read the published articles. The information given in this production is disjointed and poorly explained. If you want to see endless footage of a laconic Charlie Watts then buy this.
