It fills a gap in US Dime Books
The older dime book that I have ended with 2000. The new dime books, for the most part, seem to start at 2004. This is a four year gap. This dime book has given me a place for my "missing years" dimes.

Exciting Thomas Model in N Scale
Who says that East and West will never meet?
The Japanese version of Thomas is a 2-6-4 (C-11) Tank Locomotive with all the charm of the UK version.
This is a static model - the locomotive drivers and rods are a single casting.
Thomas is well painted and both the locomotive and coaches are very easy to assemble.
The instructions are illustrated, but in Japanese - for the most part the pictures are enough.
Much of the allure of B-Train Shorty is the ability to perform modifications.
There are plenty of ways to add LED lighting to this model if desired.
Many B-Train models can also be modified to run on N-Scale track,
This is certainly true of the passenger cars can become operational with the addition of a truck kit available separately. The locomotive on the other hand, offers no real opportunity for motorization.
B-Train collectors can wow their young visitors with Thomas. Operators, will have to be content with Thomas on their ready tracks. In spite of the limitations, it is a good overall value.
