Amateur Photgraphy
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich For a 2015 Video Production, this DVD does not have Language or Subtitle options. The photography was amateurish at best with exterior redundant shots of the castles. The "Robin Hood" segment of this DVD was so unbearable when they were filming. The cameraman was using his handheld camera and at times was out of focus. This production was obviously a low-budget documentary pretending to be great.

Worst Adaptation!
0 von 2 finden das hilfreich By far, this was the worst adaptation that I have seen! The great Hollywood Composer Bernard Hermann's Musical Score was simply ANNOYING to say the least. In almost every scene, the characters would break out into an "operetta-like" carols and songs. As a result, the production value of the film suffered; i.e. artistic liberties were taken due to time constraints. To add insult to injury, Frederic March's huge prosthetic nose as Ebenezer Scrooge wreaked of anti-semitism. I tried to find a redeeming factor with this TV-adaption but there was none. Instead, I highly recommend the 1951 Alastair Sim film version (Screenplay by Noel Langley) which garnered great reviews from Film Critics Gene Shalit and Leonard Maltin.

Great British Drama & Value!
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Nobody does Period Drama like the Brits do! My mother, myself and brother are huge fans of Downton Abbey & were very sad to see it go. Thank You Julian Fellowes for bringing Highclere Castle, "Downton Abbey" & The Grantham Family to life!
