For years I have hunted Civil War relics, hunting such places as Port Hudson, LA, Pea Ridge, Helena, Jenkins Ferry, Ark. and have been fortunate to recover hundreds of artifacts (all with permission of landowners). I was a contributor to the late Charles Harris in his book on Civil War Relics of the Western Campaigns. I also am a historian of sorts, especially World War II in the Pacific and have a nice collection of military headgear. If anyone needs assistance in identifying something, contact me.

Great narrative, photos, maps, etc. produce an avid description of the entire campaign.

The title says it all.
These are accounts written by different Marines who fought in many Pacific battles. Factual, personal, even amusing at times, I have never read a more fascinating book! They tell it the way THEY saw it. It's a superb read if you want to learn what the Marines faced in their Pacific campaigns.

Great read, hard to put down!
It's a great account of an enlisted Marine and his experiences in the Pacific. A must read for any WWII buff who wants to hear about what the war was really like.
